But there are also many reasons to visit the historic center of Salzburg by car. A total of 10 underground garages and 4 further garages in the immediate vicinity of the Altstadt offer plenty of parking space.

Park & Ride
By car to Salzburg, by bus to the Altstadt.
You can park your car comfortably at one of the Park & Ride parking spaces and take the buses to the city center. Easy and affordable.
How it works
- Take a parking ticket when entering the car park
- Parking on P1 or P3
- Insert entry ticket into parking machine
- Select P+R ticket
- Press button under P+R
- Pay
- The P+R Kombiticket is valid for parking and as a day ticket for up to 5 people traveling together.
- Long-term parkers pay the regular daily rate.
Bus connections to the city
- Bus line 8 to the city center
- Bus line 1 via main station and Mirabellplatz to the city center
- Departure of last bus from Zentrum/Ferdinand-Hanusch-Platz to P+R Messe: 22:53 (Line 1)
ALTSTADT SHUTTLE
- Ticket sale at the ticket vending machines (reduced Kombiticket for € 5) at the Messegelände
- July and August, daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 30-minute intervals.

How it works
- Take a parking ticket at the entrance
- During opening hours: exchange your parking ticket for a P+R Kombiticket at the information desk in the Designer Outlet

- Payment on exit at the automatic pay stations

How it works
- Take a parking ticket at the entrance (P+R is only possible at P3!)
- At the Carport information desk (in the check-in hall, Terminal 1), exchange your parking ticket for a P+R Kombiticket*.
- Pay
- The ticket is already activated for exit, so you can leave the parking area at any time.
