Since she began her career a good ten years ago, Italian bassist and composer Rosa Brunello, who was trained in Amsterdam, Berlin and Paris, has lived up to the motto “Music without Borders.” Her range extends from free improvisation to electro-rock, dub and South American music. She loves to mix acoustic and electronic sounds to overcome the boundaries between genres – it is no coincidence that the title of her debut album, released in 2022, is “Sounds Like Freedom.” After working with artists as diverse as Yazz Ahmed, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Tommaso Cappellato and Maurice Louca, she is presenting her new album “Senseless Acts of Love” in Salzburg.
