Été Large

Luise Volkmann founded her big band Été Large in 2015 when she was 23 years-old and still studying. As she studied not only in Cologne but also in Leipzig, Paris, and Copenhagen she managed to assemble exceptional musicians from half of Europe around her – from the Australian experimental singer Casey Moir to the French e-guitarist Paul Jarret and a whole string quartet. Together they go on captivating sound adventures which also in the current programme take you from Woodstock to Newport and combine punk and art rock with jazz and classic avant-garde.
