Robert Landfermann solo

There are not many sidemen bassists who are able to manage a complete solo programme yet Robert Landfermann, one of Germany’s top bassists, is one even though he may not have done this often. He has frequently been a guest with various formations and combinations at “Jazz & The City” where he has also already played in the Kollegienkirche where he heard many of his fellow colleagues. The acoustic of the baroque building built by Fischer von Erlach fascinated him from the start and he therefore did all he could to return to play solo in this special acoustic space and to also record the performance.
