Festungsmuseum Festung Hohensalzburg

In the magnificent rooms of the Hoher Stocks of the Hohensalzburg fortress, the fortress museum presents testimonies to the history of the fortress and life in the castles. On display are Roman coins, ceramics and wall remains, a medieval heating system and Romanesque arcades. And of course, no castle can be complete without this: Weapons, armour, instruments of torture and a treasure of gold. The fully equipped castle kitchen and the historical military musical instruments also offer a glimpse into the past.
