After two eventful and busy years in 2019 and 2020 with international concerts and tours (China, India, Japan, USA, Canada, Mexico), HI5 took a forced break in 2021 and 2022. Nevertheless, they did not waste this period of relative calm; HI5 worked on collaborations with the radio.string.quartet and the Jazz Orchester Tirol, successfully bringing the respective projects to the stage. This creative and artistic energy continued in September 2023 with a week-long artistic residency in the Tyrolean mountains, where the band created their current album, “Pool”. Improvisation and sophisticated compositional elements are combined in a unique equilibrium.
