Black Street Big Band of Musikum Salzburg
The repertoire ranges from classic swing by Glenn Miller and Duke Ellington to film soundtracks, soul classics, and contemporary pop songs. Alongside instrumental pieces, the many talented singers from Musikum regularly take center stage in vocal features. Their repertoire spans artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Bert Kaempfert, Ray Charles, and Natalie Cole, as well as Michael Bublé, Amy Winehouse, and Bruno Mars.

The Black Street Big Band consists of students from Musikum Stadt. It is an intergenerational project led by Stefan Konzett that inspires both young people and adults. Their regular public performances—at venues and events such as OVAL, Jazzit, the Salzburg Old Town Festival, the Take the A-Train Festival, and “New Year’s Eve at Kapitelplatz”—are a testament to their appeal.
