Double D (AUT)

With Double D, electronic club music takes on a whole new face. This eleven-piece ensemble from Salzburg, made up of students from the Mozarteum University Salzburg, combines the energy of techno with the power and dynamism of a live band. Guided by the motto “Handmade and wind-blown,” they create beats where they belong—right on stage. Instead of drum machines and synthesizers, three drummers and a powerful brass section generate every sound live. Driving rhythms, memorable melodies, and the musicians’ real-time interaction create a pulsating sound that captures the essence of electronic music while adding a fresh, organic dimension.
