Lewin Lepka and Bernhard Zenker work as a duo much like John Lennon and Paul McCartney once did. Comparing the two duos may seem bold, but the dynamic between them is remarkably similar: mutual inspiration, collaborative songwriting, and a healthy dose of competition. Drawing on their own experiences, their songs explore friendship, finding your way, almost being properly together—which is where the name Gspusi comes from—or simply the legendary local pub around the corner. What can never be missing from their songs is that unmistakable Austrian wit, along with a well-aimed social critique. Gspusi have big ambitions—but they certainly don’t mince their words.
