When he is not touring, Fisher can usually be found writing between his studio in Vienna, Austria, and his family farm in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, USA. He is particularly fascinated by the collision of urban European style and the soul of country music. “A song is only truly good if it works on an acoustic guitar,” Ian once said in an interview.
