Nat Osborn + Mike Parker Duo
Nat Osborn is a fixture of the New York music scene and leads two bands: the Nat Osborn Band and the indie-folk group Hawthorne. Mike Parker is an acclaimed bassist, composer, and bandleader who fronts several projects, including Trio Theory and the Mike Parker Quartet. Both artists have released numerous albums through their respective ensembles over the years.
As a duo, they present an intimate set featuring original songs alongside carefully chosen, instantly recognisable covers. Yet “stripped-down” hardly captures the experience: Osborn and Parker bring remarkable energy, musicality, and infectious groove to the stage. It is astonishing just how much rhythmic drive, joy, and spontaneity the two musicians create together.

New Yorkers Nat Osborn and Mike Parker have been making music together for more than fifteen years. Since meeting in a university jazz ensemble, they have worked their way from busking on the streets of Budapest to performing in renowned New York City clubs and headlining jazz festivals across Europe. While they frequently appear together as members of the jazz-, rock-, and soul-powered Nat Osborn Band, their duo performances offer an opportunity to explore a different musical direction. Parker swaps his electric bass for his instrument of choice, the double bass, while Osborn trades the keyboard for an acoustic guitar. The result is a sound firmly rooted in jazz while embracing elements of Americana, blues, and folk, bringing together the full spectrum of their musical influences.
