Suonno d’Ajere represent the refined and glamorous revival of the Neapolitan song tradition. The three young musicians from Naples are dedicated to exploring and reimagining the rich heritage of Neapolitan music through a contemporary lens. The name of the trio, founded in 2016, roughly translates as “Yesterday’s Dream” and refers to the song of the same title on Pino Daniele’s debut album Terra Mia (1977).
The creations of this vibrant trio and their reinterpretations delve deeply into the soul of Neapolitan music, while always avoiding clichés and stereotypes.
