Benjamin Schmid invites: Cosima Schmid Trio (A/CH)

Cosima Schmid is accompanied on piano and vocals by Eliott Knuets on guitar and Joan Codina on bass in her newly formed Basel-based jazz trio. The trio’s hallmark is a gentle, poetic and focused interplay which mainly presents original songs and compositions by Cosima Schmid and Eliott Knuets. Cosima tells personal stories in the songs, informed by a musical influence of pop, jazz and classical music, with influences from songwriters such as Lizzy McAlpine and Adrienne Lenker.
