The duo David Helbock and Julia Hofer will release a new album on the internationally renowned label ACT Music in autumn 2025. The album will be a fascinating blend of tranquil, dreamy original compositions and groovy jazz pieces that bear the unmistakable hallmarks of Helbock and Hofer, who will be joined by some exciting guest musicians. This concert evening at the end of Jazz&TheCity 2025 promises to be an extraordinary sound experience with imaginative effects, rhythmic percussion elements on the grand piano and dynamic alternations between cello and electric bass; in short, a musical journey full of emotion and innovation.

David Helbock is a leading figure in Austrian jazz who thrills audiences around the world with his projects at festivals on all five continents. His virtuosity and creativity have won him numerous awards, including several prizes at the world's largest Jazz Piano Solo Competition in Montreux (CH) and the "Outstanding Artist Award" from the Austrian Federal Government. For his latest project Helbock has joined forces with the versatile electric bassist and cellist Julia Hofer from Vienna as his duo partner. Hofer has previously attracted attention primarily in the pop world, whether through tours with No Angels or appearances on German TV such as Stefan Raab's show. Julia is now concentrating more exclusively on jazz with David Helbock, alongside her impressive online presence on YouTube, where her videos for the Thomann company inspire millions of bass fans.
