Fred Frith - Frelonia (UK/US, DK, ESP)
Frelonia brings together three forceful musical personalities and outstanding improvisers in an electrifying trio: Fred Frith, an icon of free music, Lotte Anker, a saxophonist and composer at the crossroads of free improvisation, experimental jazz and contemporary music, and Núria Andorrà (Catalonia/Spain), a percussionist, improviser and composer who combines her classical training with an interdisciplinary, physical performance approach. Together, this electrifying trio creates fleeting textures, sudden convergences and unrepeatable moments of sonarity. Their playing is characterised by volatile energy, deep engagement and a shared love of risk-taking.
