Georg Vogel (AUT)

The 31-tone clavinet he built enables Georg Vogel to access entirely new musical spheres; ones that, tonally, seem to oscillate somewhere in between. This is clearly demonstrated, for example, in his band project “Dsilton”.

His current solo album is a live recording of a concert at Hellbrunn Palace, where Georg Vogel again lets the piano do the talking. “With this solo album, he demonstrates that he truly knows how to move brilliantly in any musical constellation. His music is sophisticated, always diverse and utterly different. And that's precisely what makes him such an interesting artist” (Michael Ternai, mica). Georg will also be performing at Jazz&TheCity with the Ensemble Zençir and will be playing the organ too at Jazz&TheCity during his solo performance at Salzburg's Kollegienkirche.

Georg Vogel (AUT)

Georg Vogel was born in Salzburg in 1988 and now lives in Vienna. He is a musician, pianist, composer, creative instrument maker and one of Austria's most outstanding young jazz musicians. His music expresses subtle distinctions: He began building his own instrument, the 31-tone clavinet, at an early age to express his unique musical ideas. His music moves outside the conventional, and his sonic language is one that has developed its own distinctive voice.
