Zipfer Bierhaus

Since 1823 the house, which is one of the oldest buildings in the city, has been a gastronomic home for everyone; and since 1907 it has been known under the name Zipfer Bierhaus. Therefore, the Zipfer Bierhaus is one of the oldest inns in downtown Salzburg.
This is not the only reason why we regard it as our gastronomic task to value genuine inn culture as heritage and to keep it alive authentically as a timeless tradition. Far away from kitsch, which is inflationarily available in a tourist city like Salzburg, we appreciate the value of the special all the more.
The Zipfer Bierhaus stands for down-to-earth quality, good Austrian cuisine and offers a wide selection of beers. In the warm seasons there is also a guest garden from which you can watch the lively market life at the university square.
